Do you ever wonder if kids today still fly paper planes? Maybe some do, but with all the cool computer games available right now, others might think they’re “old” and boring.
So let’s take that old paper plane to a higher level! Here we’ll make paper jets instead that can fly five times farther than the ones older generations were making! This is a great way to get the kids away from teh screen and out in the open air!
Now excuse me while I forget my adult duties for a while and play with my paper jet outside ?
Materials:
- A4 size Paper
- X-acto Knife and Cutting Mat/Scissors
- Rubber Band
Steps:
Start by folding the sheet of paper in half width-wise, and cut it in two pieces. We just need one of them.
Fold length-wise and then open the paper back up and fold the top two corners inward. Keeping a little gap where they meet along the crease will help the folding later and keep the paper layers flat.
Fold both sides so the corners meet again in the center line.
Repeat the folding of both sides to the center line. This starts looking like a very fast jet!
